DREAM ABOUT SAILING DOWN TO THE CARIBBEAN ON YOUR OWN BOAT?

LEARN HOW TO DO IT FROM AN EXPERIENCED SAILOR who spent ten years living aboard his 36 ft. sailboat, EAGLE. Rich Miller and his wife left Chicago, sailed out the St. Lawrence to Nova Scotia, headed slowly south along the Atlantic coast, exploring interesting seaports and islands along the way until they reached the Bahamas. After a couple of winters in the Bahamas, they sailed to the Turks and Cacos, Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico where they reprovisioned and headed through the Virgin Islands, down the Leewards and Windwards to Trinadad, Venezuela and Bonaire. Each year thereafter they circled the Eastern Caribbean, spending the hurricane season off the coast of South America, returning to Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands in December. Thirty thousand sea miles later, they returned to the States and settled in Alexandria, VA. They still cruise on EAGLE, but only as far as the Bahamas. Most recently they have chartered bareboats in Croatia and Australia. When back in Alexandria, Rich teaches sailing, navigation, delivers boats or crews on deliveries, and promotes safe boating with the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary.
